If you are a person who likes taking notes, you would not miss the name of Moleskine. Moleskine notebooks have the classic hardcover with the elastic band attached. The notebook is the perfect companion for daily inspiration. Now it brings the same experience from the traditional paper notebook to a whole new digital form, the Moleskine Journal iOS app.
The Moleskine app has iPhone and iPad version, but the experience of its iPhone version is rather limited, like other note apps, since the screen is small. The iPad version is much better, even on iPad mini.
You can see the classic Moleskine cover upon the launch of the app, and you may have many notebooks as you want.
The in-app guide is pretty useful if you are using it for the first time. It helps you quickly get familiar with the navigation panel.
One thing I like is that pictures can be inserted directly into the notebook.
You can also rotate and scale the photos as you wish. And you can export the note to various sharing channels and websites when you finish.
The palm rest and zoom in feature to write notes make it more useful for taking long notes. The ink engine is good, but could be improved. I wish it can be as good as the Sketchbook app, which makes the writing more realistic.

How is it compared to Evernote?
ReplyDeleteEvernote is definitely more powerful. I use Evernote especially to save some useful webpages. You can export the Moleskine notes to Evernote as well. In fact, Moleskine and Evernote have a collaboration, you can check out Moleskine's website to find out how it can be used.
DeleteVery cool post. You can't store everything on your mobile device, especially if it's something important and has to be private. I can suggest virtual data room comparison from my own experience.
